Linked from another forum. Could be worth a look if you're in the vicinity, but have a closer look at post no.8.

Don't worry, bodeg. I only found out yesterday, and that was after a tip-off from another forum member.

Thanks to the organiser of this, there will be a Tiswas 1978 episode available to view.

Methinks a trip to the BFI is in order...

I've seen the show Andrew.

If I recall it's a shortened episode because of some sporting event.

I am going to see it again though.

Yes, I remember you saying a few years back. Glad I can finally catch up with you after all this time!

It's a Sally / Chris / Trevor East show. Maybe we can tempt Trevor East to a screening and film his reactions!

Many thanks to Alistair McGown for making this (and lots of other good stuff) available.

Ah, Alistair McGown - a chap who helped me with some of the Episode Guide regional variations thing.

I must pop round and see this 1978 episode. I've made fleeting visits to the Quad in Derby and the BFI in London, but not the Cambridge branch, despite it being nearest to me.

I'm confused by the date on the link - 11/05/1978 is the date given but that wasn't a saturday. The previous saturday would have been fa cup final day, which might explain a shorter than usual episode.

Are all these children's programmes available at any bfi or just the place in london?

Oh mercy me, this looks splendid! Big plus points for the inclusion of Dark Season - compelling and more than a little scary, even though I must have been about 17 when it came out first.

Aye. Hard to dislike a guy with an avatar of Tracyanne Campbell from the terminally wonderful Camera Obscura, in any event!
