[Central
News at Six - Chris Tarrant at Aston University]
14th Jul 2006 - ITV1 Central News [5.5mb - 2:29]
Chris Tarrant received an honoury degree at Aston University. Central
News covered the event by showing a series of Tiswas clips as well
as a brief interview with him, in which he poured a bucket of water
over the news reporter in true Tiswas fashion. Many thanks to Richard
Bell for this clip. |
[Central
News at Six - TiswasOnline goes to ATV-Land]
19th Feb 2005
- ITV1 Central News [9.2mb - 3:03]
A three minute clip, taken from Central News at Six when Matthew Lewis
(the ex-singing-rabbit), along with TiswasOnline's Lee Bannister got to
visit the old Tiswas studios in Broad Street, Birmingham. Both Matthew
and Lee are interviewed, looking round the empty dark studio, and there's
a glimpse at this very website, which flattered the webmaster no end!
Thanks to Central, or rather ITV plc's midlands operation, for letting
us in, and airing this great report! |

[Dick And Dom In Da Bungalow - Four Carrot Gold featuring Tiswas' Matthew Lewis]
3rd Dec 2005 - BBC2/CBBC Channel [38mb - 9:26]
This contains exclusive backstage footage - our rehearsal and a
post-show interview with Dick and Dom. Back on Tiswas, Matthew was
only six years old when he performed Bright Eyes, dressed in a rabbit
suit. 25 years later, he and three members of TiswasOnline went
live on Saturday morning television to recreate some of that bunny
magic, in Dick and Dom's Strangely Talented slot. Out of the three
acts that week, we came one place behind the second-best. Still,
it was worth it to have that Tiswas feeling back on the UK's tellies
on a Saturday morning, and even if the kids didn't like us, Dick
and Dom and the production team certainly did. The following weeks'
show repeated this moment briefly, and it's boosted our egos heavily.
We are just bubbling below Z-list status now! "It was your
mum and dad's Bungalow!" |

Tiswas Reunited is now available on DVD - an extended version of the show seen on ITV1 in 2007, with plenty of extras. TiswasOnline has been covering this revival project and has contributed to it. See the official blog and other show details at our Tiswas Reunited minisite!

Random Tiswas quote: "We don't just throw this show together you know!" - Chris Tarrant Random Tiswas fact: Just before ATV was replaced by Central Television in the 1982 ITV franchise change, ATV ran a trailer about Central, re-assuring viewers that Tiswas would still be on air, featuring someone being flanned, with the pie-plate labelled 'Central'.
